Why do people read newspaper?

a person reads newspapers to find out the daily happenings of our country the disasters,the news of government the raising rates of things etc.

People read newspapers to know about the events which happens in the world , in their country, region and city.
They look through the weather forecast, the TV program, somebody reads ads and advertising.
Many people are interested in politics and want to keep abreast of current events.
